I've just posted on Collaborations looking for help with 'Hooly' - or anything else I have on my music page, come to that. heh. Hooly is a kind of soft jazz/rap piece that needs voice and/or lyrics and/or anything else you can think of. If you're interested, note me, or email me at p2p@shaw.ca.

For now, if anyone needs sound effects of just about any kind added to their track, I have a ton of them and I also have a really good multisequencer. I can't promise instant action, but I'll do the best I can as quickly as I can.

Cheers! Jon

I'm the news and features guy for dmusic and several other sites and although I'm into music, organizing story material (plus the fact we have a seven-year-old daugher who's like triplets : ) doesn't leave me a lot of time for anything else.

BUT I'm trying to change that and after building a song on and off for the last couple of weeks - my first in a LONG time - today I uploaded it. It's called Hooly in electronics.

Anyway, I'm having a trouble with my recording software so there may be a lot of noise. Under it all is a soft jazz/rap piece that needs voice and/or lyrics and/or anything else. If you're interested, either note me, or email me at p2p@shaw.ca. Otherwise, enjoy. Cheers! Jon (and thanks Jennae)

I'm trying to get a grip on news and other feature items for DMusic, Boycott-RIAA, Gnutella and Gnutellnews - and p2pnet.net, which I started.

I've been a writer/editor for a lot of years but I started out as an art student in England, where I was born - London, to be exact. These days my wife Liz and I, and our seven-year-old daughter Emma, live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. And after a four-year stint selling antiques (yep) in Ontario, I'm back to writing and graphics - and music.

I play blues and folk guitar. And computer. I make my computer compositions manually on Dan McKee's excellent Winjammer software synthesizer (which is unfortunately no longer available) and Koan Pro. No MIDI, or other, input. I enter each note manually and output the results via a Roland sound card, recorded and mixed on Goldwave, and Multisequencer, two more excellent Canadian apps.

I don't claim to be terrific at this, but it's satisfying to make music and have other people listen to it and now I'm hooked up with DMusic, I plan to do a lot more.

Cheers! And all the best ... Jon
